When Warren Harris began his home-building in the Seven Lakes area back in 1978, he wanted to do more than just build houses. He wanted his company to be recognized as a leader at providing families with a warm, inviting, wonderful space that they could proudly call home. You see, to Warren, and now to his son Steve, there is a distinct difference between building a house and constructing a home.
Both men believe three things are required to be successful at constructing a home. These include: the ability to completely understand a homebuyer’s needs, translate those needs into a workable design, and construct a home of lasting quality that could meet a homebuyer’s needs for a lifetime.
In 1991 Warren retired after 40 years in the homebuilding business. As time marches on, so does the Harris family and homebuilding business. A third generation, Mitchell Harris, joined the company in 2000 as job superintendent. He has worked under the same basic training for the last four years that his father received years ago. On June 11, 2003, Mitchell became an unlimited licensed contractor as well.
